Three sponsors shared the cost of resurfacing the 400m track, which reopened after completion, fitness and safety certificates were issued.
The synthetic track at the District Stadium in Kannur reopened to athletes and the public after six months of restoration work.
The work was listed on KALARI as four separately priced items, allowing a charitable foundation, a local business and an alumni association to each take a part.
The track hosted the district athletics meet within a month of reopening.
